About the role.

Our client is a leading provider of two-person delivery services in the UK, delivering 2 million customer orders per year.

The main duties will include:

•Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes

•Delivering exceptional customer service.

•Carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment, and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects ensuring that the axle and gross weights are compliant for maximum safety and protection on the road

•Unloading on customers premises, where required.

•Willing to work Shift pattern Monday to Saturday.

The Ideal Candidate

•A valid Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) UK driving license

•A driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph

•Good communication skills

•Previous experience preferred but not essential

•Self-motivated and possessing the ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team

•£9 P/H For Monday to Saturday

•£14.04 P/H for Sunday

Kingdom Recruitment, working in partnership with Wincanton are looking to recruit Class 1 Drivers in the Wigan area. 

If you haven’t already been assessed, you will be required to pass a Wincanton driving assessment and once passed, you will have the opportunity to work out of a number of distribution centres within the North West.

Main duties of the role will be delivering and collecting Nationwide to National and Regional Distribution Centres as well as Cash and Carries. 

More about the job: 

• 7 Days operation so we can match shifts to suit your needs. 
• Averaging 50 hours per week 
• Minimum of 8 hours per shift guaranteed.

Wages (Paye)  

• £12.25 - £15 per hour 
• £500 bonus at 6 and 12 weeks

Requirements 

• A valid Category C E(Class 1) licence held for a minimum of 2 years with a minimum of 6 months commercial driving experience. 
• A valid Digital Tachograph & Driver CPC cards. 
• No more than 6 minor points (No IN/DR/DD for insurance purposes). 
• A good knowledge of WTD. 
• A good knowledge of UK road & motorway networks. 
• Excellent communication skills both face to face and on the phone. 
• Takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. 
• You will need to be enthusiastic, reliable, helpful and organised.
