Job Description

We are looking for Labourers to work for our Rotherham based client. This is an exciting and varied role, with the opportunity to progress.
This position is ideal for graduate apprentices, who are looking to further develop within an engineering environment or someone wanting to get into this industry.

This position involves Galvanising. What is galvanising?

This is the process in which metal is cleaned and then dipped into a bath of zinc. This process coats the product with a layer of zinc to protect it from rusting when exposed to extreme weather conditions.

Summary of the Labourer position:

The pay: £11 PH

Location: Rotherham.

The Hours: 37.5 hours per week, working on a rotating shift pattern (Afternoons/Days/Nights).

The Job: Our Labourer position offers the opportunity to work with industrial process equipment. No experience is necessary and full training is provided. You will be operating process equipment, handling customer products, carrying out general labouring duties, keeping work areas clean and tidy in a production and manufacturing environment. Operatives are also trained in the safe use and operation of counterbalance forklift trucks.

The Person: You will need to be able to demonstrate that you are a driven individual, with a strong work ethic.

Although no experience is required, a successful Labourer might have:

• The ambition to learn and develop skills within the engineering sector.

Daily duties of a Labourer include:

• Operating process equipment.
• Handling Customer products.
• Safety & quality awareness.
• General labouring duties.
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
• Forklift truck activities.

Working hours:

The standard working hours for this job are based on a 3-shift rotating pattern:

• Days: 06:00 – 13:10
• Afternoons: 12:50 – 20:00
• Nights: 20:00 – 06:00
