Warehouse - API Audio Tester - Rotating shifts

Working for the UK’s leading B2B and consumer electronics repair, refurbishment and return-to-market, service company. The business is based upon supporting major manufacturers and retailers who need to maximise revenue from returned customer purchases.

Easy to reach location - Tram from Manchester/Rochdale to Hollinwood also by 83/180/184 bus from Oldham and Manchester / On site car park.

Job Location:                       Hollinwood, Oldham                  

Standard Pay Rate:             £9.88 per hour - Weekly pay

Working Hours:                   40 hours per week                                                 

Days of Work:                     Monday to Friday, Rotating shifts between 06.00 - 14.00 & 14.00 - 22.00                


About the role

Working as part of the team of Testers your role will be to test all audio products once they have been repaired by the engineers. You will then clean and pack them ready to be dispatched back to the customer. 

Specifics

  • Responsible for the test and low level repair of electrical domestic products
  • Following technical instructions from the process leader or manager
  • Achieving set targets and KPI's
  • Follow all operational and H&S procedures
  • Check that outgoing palletts are correct against system listings
  • Update the computer tracking systems as required

What we need from you

  • Previous testing experience of electrical products
  • The ability to use own initiative to bring tasks to completion
  • Be able to work under pressure and plan, manage and complete workload as required
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in work methods
  • Great communication skills with colleagues across all levels
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Understand the importance of GDPR
  • Must have strong attention to detail and be a natural problem solver
  • Be flexible around working hours
  • Composite safety boots

Induction on first day, full on the job training. This is ongoing and possibility of a permanent job at the end.
