Warehouse Operative - Rotating shifts

Working for the UK’s leading B2B and consumer electronics repair, refurbishment and return-to-market, service company. The business is based upon supporting major manufacturers and retailers who need to maximise revenue from returned customer purchases.

Easy to reach location - Tram from Manchester/Rochdale to Hollinwood also by 83/180/184 bus from Oldham and Manchester / On site car park .

Job Location:                       Hollinwood, Oldham                  

Standard Pay Rate:             £9.88 per hour  - Weekly pay

Working Hours:                   42.5 hours per week / Overtime available at busy periods                                                 

Days of Work:                      Monday to Friday, Rotating shifts 06.00 - 14.00 or 14.00 - 22.00.              


About the role

Working in the warehouse this job involves standing at a desk scanning stock and inputting information onto the inhouse computer system and putting goods/pallets of stock away. 

Specifics

  • Working in the warehouse you will have a printed list of returned items for each customer
  • Your job will be to retrieve the relevant pallet of stock from the warehouse, scan each item and input the relevant information onto the in house computer system, moving and relocating goods and pallets around the warehouse.
  • Very heavy lifting is involved as the items can range from a mobile phone to a flat screen TV 

What we need from you

  • Must be self-motivated and a willingness to learn.
  • Working on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • The job involves heavy lifting so must be able to lift heavy items and be physically fit.
  • Must have intermediate computer skills.
  • Ideally previous warehouse experience in the last 12 months
  • Must have a keen eye for detail
  • Scanning and inputting information onto the in-house computer system
  • Composite safety boots required

Induction on first day, full on the job training. This is ongoing and possibility of a permanent job at the end.

Days of Work:                     Monday to Friday, Various shifts between 06.30 - 22.00 (Usually work Monday to Friday 07.30 to 16.20 but due to covid there are various shift patterns between 06.30 up to 22.00 and will be decided at time of interview)                


About the role

Working on a fast-paced production line booking in, cleaning and packing small electrical items. 

Specifics

  • Working on the Small Track you will receive a pallet of various small electrical items (camera/printer/speaker/keyboard etc) from the warehouse.
  • You will scan and book them in onto the in house computer system before being sent to the engineers for repair/refurbishment.
  • Other job aspects involve cleaning and packing and quality checking to enusre no parts are missing before they go back to the customer.

What we need from you

  • Must be self-motivated and a willingness to learn.
  • Working on own initiative and as part of a team.

  • Ideally minimum of 6 months previous warehouse experience
  • Must have a keen eye for detail
  • Scanning and inputting information onto the in-house computer system
